Film i Västerbotten, FilmArc and HumLab are extremely proud to present an open events with Robin Hunicke, Game Developer and Producer of (among many other things) “Journey” (2012). Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet and listen to one of the most influential women in the gaming industry!
We will start off with short talks from our prominent guests: Angelica Norgren (P3 Spel), Robin Hunicke and Anton Hultdin . After the talks you will have the opportunity to try out some games and hang out. Meet some of the most interesting people in the gaming industry!
About the speakers:
Robin Hunicke is a game designer and producer, with a background in fine art, computer science and applied game studies. She joined EA in 2005, where she worked on “The Sims2″, “MySims”, and Steven Spielberg’s “Boom Blox” series for the Nintendo Wii. In the spring of 2009 she joined thatgamecompany as Executive Producer of the award-winning PSN downloadable title, “Journey”. Recognized as an influential ”Woman in Games”, Robin is an evangelist for diversity of thought and participation in game design and game culture.
Angelica Norgren is the host of radio show P3 Spel where she every Saturday on Swedish national radio puts gaming in focus and talks about things like the thrill of an “epic win”, how a perfect puzzle looks or in which ways games can make us better people.
Anton Hultdin has been working with games professionally since 2004, most of the time as a 3d Artist. Since early 2012 he has been developing his own games, and so far he has released two titles, Scrap Hunt and Samurai Rush, for iOS and Android.
Do I have to sign up?
No, but when our venue is full (we take about 80 people/venue) we will close the doors, first come first served, so be on time!
