Beloved singer Sofia Karlsson has a voice as melodic as a rippling brook, and as confident as the bedrock. She has given concerts for full houses all over Sweden and the Nordic countries, recieved Grammys, scholarships, prizes and sold gold not only once. And her album Svarta Ballader where she turned text by Dan Andersson into music has reached an almost immortal cult status.
Now Sofia Karlsson is finally back with a new album. And yes, the backbone of classic swedish song tradition is still here. But on her new album she also pays a visit to her american root influences. We can scent that she has grown up with Cohen, Dylan, Zetterlund and Wreeswijk as household gods. And we also find some modern pop elements, that can be traced down to her working with norwegian producers Espen Lind och Bjørn Nessjø who has written for artists such as Beyoncé, Sissel Kyrkjebø, Mary J Blige och Emeli Sandé.
Welcome to a atmospheric evening with one of Swedens most loved voices.
