How many 13- and 14-year-olds really know what they want to do when they grow up? The nation of Sweden is in great need of more skilled vocational labour in the coming years, but these kinds of jobs and study programs don’t often appeal to today’s young people. So WorldSkills Sweden, a not-for-profit organization funded by the Swedish government and other stakeholders perform a big vocational event every two years aimed at school pupils in different regions in Sweden to try to give the right picture of these professions. Now the opportunity has come to Västerbotten, Umeå.
During three days there are lots of hundreds of young skilled vocationals that compete in 30 professions beside several vocational showcases and lots of possibilities to try for Your self. The event is free of charge.
