In the music project Yesterday´s Music the music from 1910-1955 is brought back to life through early 1900s gramophones. The project aims to set up performances at homes for the elderly or at senior associations.
As several of the 78 rpm records never have made it to vinyl or cd, some tunes may not have been heard for over 60 years. This can bring back lots of positive memories for many elderly.
Peter Mollwing also wants to develop a storytelling experience by expanding the oral presentation of the artists, music and recordings in association with the elderly.
The project has been granted a Cultural Boost from Umeå2014 for arranging performances throughout 2012.
